FinTech company Align Commerce, which focusses on creating easier payment systems for small businesses, has announced that Silicon Valley cross-border payments and commerce veteran Frederick Crosby has joined the company board as Chief Revenue & Marketing Officer.
Marwan Forzley, CEO and Founder of Align Commerce, said: “The network of businesses who use Align Commerce for their global payments has really taken off. Each month we’re seeing rapid growth spread across Europe, Asia and the Americas. We’re really looking forward to Frederick’s leadership in bringing more businesses into our service.”
Align Commerce was built by a team of payment experts who wanted to remove the inefficiencies that small businesses experience in sending funds to international suppliers on traditional bank wires. The Align Commerce network built a ‘multi-rail’ technology that streamlined payment processing to make these payments quick and simple. It combines the speed and adaptability of blockchain with existing payment methods to provide a secure global payments network.
Crosby remarked: “I’m really amazed on how fast Align has grown here in such a short amount of time. It’s a testimony to their innovative approach in solving the needs of small business owners looking to save another trip to the bank bundled with yet another fee to pay. Align put together a modern, tech based, platform that gives businesses a better option to what they have today.”
Crosby has overseen growth in cross-border solutions before. At PayPal and eBay, he oversaw the retooling of the e-payment and e-commerce that made cross-border trade and payments a major growth engine for the company. More recently, he was the Chief Revenue Officer for Western Union Digital, leading their global growth in digital remittances.
