Jaxx wallet provider Kryptokit has recently entered the initial stages of smart contract integration by announcing the release of a major Ethereum-side improvement of Jaxx across all devices and platforms. Ethereum is focussed around smart contracts and with Jaxx beta version 0.0.15 users can send to Ethereum contracts.
Once a contract address has been detected in the “receiving address” tab, an advanced panel will open. Here a suggested gas amount will be displayed, along with options to adjust gas and add custom data to the send. Alternatively, the advanced tab can be opened manually, with the options of entering 0 in the amount field, or the amount of Ether to be sent, along with the contract in the amount field in order for the send button to activate. Gas price display in transactions have also been added on the Ethereum side.
Following this news, two more events were announced: Shapeshift integration and Ethereum with Hierarchal Deterministic functionality. Other features included in the 0.0.15 release include the option to import encrypted paper bitcoin and Ethereum wallets various user interface and text tweaks, as well as crash fixes for Android devices.
