OpenBazaar Release Fully Functional Testnet to Public

OpenBazaar has now released its fully functional testnet to the public and has invited people to rigorously test the system to ensure everything is functioning properly. When the testing provides sufficient confidence for OpenBazaar of the stability and functionality of the product, it will transition to the main net and OpenBazaar open for trading.

Additionally, OpenBazaar published an in-depth guide yesterday on the use of its testnet. The guide runs from downloading and installing to purchasing and managing orders. Alongside this, OpenBazaar has published a ‘Tester’s Guide’ and ‘Vendor’s Guide’ which gives more details on how to sell goods and services on the network. Alternatively, contact with someone from the OpenBazaar community for help, or to give feedback on how OpenBazaar, is available to people who join its Slack community.

The testnet uses testnet bitcoin for the moment and OpenBazaar recommend Copay for users who need a testnet wallet, available on both iOS and Android. Some testnet coins are also provided for free.
