Storj Test Group B Reaches 2 PB Milestone

Decentralized cloud storage project Storj, which utilizes blockchain technology and peer-to-peer protocols, has announced that it has now surpassed its 2 petabyte of storage milestone and is looking to go even further.

The system is currently supporting over 750 testers and Storj has distributed around 650,000 of its proprietary currency SJCX units to participants, but has stated that still has around 400,000 to distribute for its Test Group B.

The next step for the project is the launch of its Test Group C, which will allow the testing of file transfers on the P2P network including latency, bandwidth and throughput amongst others.

This news comes shortly after the company launched its DriveShare v0.5, which they report has been well received by the community.
