Michael Solomon, the New York talent agent famous for promoting stars like Bruce Springsteen, recently signed Bitcoin Core developer Jeff Garzik as a client, according to the New York Post.
Garzik is signed to Solomon’s 10x Management, an agency that is positioning itself as a recruiter of technology talent for high profile companies. Solomon founded 10x with childhood friend Rishon Blumberg and Altay Guvench, an alumnus of Silicon Valley startup accelerator – Y Combinator.
Solomon started his career in the entertainment industry touring with Bruce Springsteen in Europe, and working at Sony Music International and Epic Records International. In 1995, he along with Blumberg co-founded Brick Wall Management, a famous entertainment industry consulting firm.
10x lists Google, Berkley College, ebay, American Express, Nordstrom, Live Nation, yelp, and McGraw Hill Education among its customers.
Garzik is a core committer of bitcoin development and this year submitted proposal BIP102 to increase the bitcoin block size from 1 MB to 2 MB.
