Bittimaatti and Lamassu Celebrate Latest Bitcoin ATM Launch

Finnish company Bittimaatti and American-based bitcoin ATM manufacturers Lamassu have recently celebrated the launch of their latest ATM installation in Finland’s capital, Helsinki. Finland was the first European country to install a permanent bitcoin ATM, also in Helsinki, in December 2013.

With the first prototype made in 2013, there are currently over 120 Lamassu-made bitcoin ATMs, which are produced in Portugal, in the world. With this latest release this bring the total number in Europe to 47, including 8 in Finland, 10 in the UK and 5 in the Netherlands.

Bittimaatti own and operate the Lamassu bitcoin ATMs in Finland, with the latest one available in the Itis shopping center – the largest fully enclosed mall in Finland. According to the Bittimaatti website the new machine can be found on the second floor near the shoe repair and key service.
