Blockchain Apparatus Conducts Presidential GOP Straw Poll Using Blockchain Voting Tech

Blockchain Apparatus, a subsidiary of Blockchain Technologies Corporation, conducted the first presidential straw poll using its voting technologu.

The poll was done at the New York Metropolitan Republican Club to coincide with the recent Republican Primary Debate.

Nearly 300 people attended the Republican debate party on the 6th of August, the night of the debate. Roughly 100 plus people participated in the poll at the end of the evening. Those who participated were asked: “who do you think won tonight’s debate?” According to the majority of the party’s attendees, Donald Trump came out the winner of the debate, with Rand Paul coming in second.

The poll utilizes the Bitcoin Blockchain, the ledger technology underlying the cryptocurrency.

Blockchain Apparatus reports that it can secure elections using the blockchain to ensure votes that are cast are unique and not counterfeit. For its platform, the company has filed a non-provisional utility patent titled ‘System and Method For Securely Receiving And Counting Votes In An Election’ and with the application number 14820530.
