Alternative cryptocurrency Hyper is rolling out a bunch of new developments. The team behind the gaming coin’s development is taking over gaming coin GoldPieces, sponsoring a new crowdfunding platform called Picisi, forming an interesting partnership with a third gaming currency Coin2, and launching a global crypto gaming network.
The developers of Hyper are a taking over the gaming cryptocurrency GoldPieces (GP) with plans to bring online many web based role playing games (RPG) that support GP as the in-game currency. Currently, gamers can earn GP playing online RPG Dragon Knight and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO).
The Hyper lead developer “HYPERFuture” posted this about the GP takeover on Bitcointalk.org:
GoldPieces originally launched on Friday January 9th 2015 at 1PM EST and is now officially relaunching today on the 7th May 2015. GP had no premine and a very fair distribution. I am taking over with a relaunch as the original GP developer has been too busy to keep working on the project for now. I really hope Inkha returns and finishes some of his GP games as he had some great ideas.

According to Hyper, PICISI is a new digital currency crowdfunding platform that is launching soon. Both Hyper and GoldPieces are apparently the “official sponsors” of the PICISI project. PICISI stands for “Philanthropic Investment and Charity for Inventions, Startups, and Ideas” that according to the project’s Bitcointalk.org page is a crowdfunding startup that will accept “all significant currency types.”
Hyper notes that any user will be able to raise funds on the platform to develop Hyper and GP supported games. When Hyper or GP is the host currency, all other digital currencies will be converted into Hyper and GP, which the Hyper developers hope will expand the Hyper and GP ecosystems and community.
The developers of the Hyper gaming currency have also launched a Worldwide Crypto Gaming Network, which enables other cryptocurrencies to be integrated into Hyper’s in-house custom developed digital currency implementations of CSGO and Counter-Strike 1.6 hosted in both EU and US.
Gamers are also now able to earn Hyper tokens playing Counter-Strike, CSGO, Minecraft and many more games on over 10 game servers, according to its development team. Currently supported cryptocurrencies include Hyper, Coin2, GoldPieces, iCash and Burst. Burst is an appcoin that is being used for smart contract applications, according to its founders. The rest of the coins are gaming currencies.
In other news, the Coin2 and Hyper communities recently formed a strategic partnership. Hyper indicates that it is now fully integrated into the Coin2 web wallet. The wallet is designed for online game developers and has a full API for developers to integrate Coin2 and Hyper into their projects. Coin2 is also coding an original FPS game Chain of Conflict that will have full Coin2 and Hyper integration at launch.
