Safello CTO Jumps Ship to Join WizSec in Japan

The co-founder and CTO Swedish bitcoin exchange Safello, Emil Oldenburg, has jumped ship to move to Japan and join Bitcoin security specialists WizSec, according to a CoinDesk report.

WizSec gained media attention earlier this year when it announced that it had found leads into what happened to the 850,000 missing bitcoins from the Mt. Gox exchange collapse.

WizSec has apparently also been helping San Francisco-based Kraken, which is setting up a Japanese bitcoin exchange in 2015.
Kraken itself was appointed by the local bankruptcy trustee and police to investigate the bitcoins that went missing after the Mt. Gox collapse.

Safello is a growing bitcoin exchange in Europe that has raised $650,000 in two rounds from well-known bitcoin ecosystem investors the Bitcoin Opportunity Fund, Roger Ver, Nicolas Cary, and Erik Voorhees.
