BitoEX Now Making Bitcoins Available to Taiwanese in 3000 Family Mart Stores

Taiwan crytpocurrency exchange BitoEx in cooperation with Family Mart is now making Bitcoins available in 2,986 convenience stores, and thus to 20 million Taiwanese, according to the exchange.

The biggest convenience store rival to Family Mart in Taiwan is 7-11. After several years of development, Taiwan actually has the largest number of convenience stores per capita. In these stores, consumers can use free wireless Internet service, pay bills, and buy phone cards, food and beverages. In Taiwan, convenience stores are making record profits, and are everywhere from rural villages to the standard city block.

The partnership between BitoEX and Family Mart will likely boost the gradually expanding Bitcoin user community in Taiwan, as it will provide access to Bitcoins in a venue where many Taiwanese pay there bills.
